Hives also known as urticaria - are itchy red bumps or welts that sometimes appear in response to a trigger. The trigger can be a food, a medication, an insect sting or bite, an allergen, or a physical stimulus, such as pressure, cold, heat, exercise or sun. The itching may be mild to severe. Scratching or stress may make the itching worse.

At our office, we will look for the triggers and will recommend treatments to prevent the outbreak or reduce the symptoms of hives.
