Sinus Problems

If you have frequent sinus headaches or sinus infections, you may have or may develop chronic sinusitis. This is one of the most common health problems. If you have sinusitis, the area around the sinus cavities can become inflamed and swollen. This can prevent normal mucus draining, and cause mucus and pressure to build. This environment is a good one for bacteria grow, and sinus infections can result.

Sinusitis symptoms include:

• Drainage of a thick colored, foul-tasting, foul-smelling discharge from the nose or down the back of the throat

• Nasal blockage or congestion

• Tenderness or swelling around the eyes, cheeks, nose and forehead.

Chronic Sinusitis may be the result of an untreated allergy. It’s important that any allergies you have be correctly diagnosed and treated so that the sinus problems can be improved.
