Eczema is a dry, itchy, scaly red rash. It can ooze and crust over, especially if it is scratched. Both children and adults can have eczema, and it is more likely for you to have it if your family members have allergies.

Eczema in kids often fades over time. Most babies with it will outgrow it by the time they are teenagers. Kids with eczema have a higher risk of both allergies and asthma during their lives.

Your eczema may improve if you can avoid your allergic triggers. Our office can provide the testing and diagnosis necessary to do this, and we can work with you to develop an effective treatment for this irritating condition.
